Directions: Take Exit 11 from Hwy 101. Go straight through the lights into Village of Port Williams. Cross bridge and look for overhead flashing light. Turn right onto Starr’s Point Rd. Go 2 km, Gates U-pick is on the left.
Time: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Activity Description: We offer free wagon rides around the orchard. Tour takes approx. 10 mins. We also encourage free sampling of all you can eat apples while U-Picking. There are washroom facilities and a picnic area.

5 – Wood’n’Hive Honey

Directions: Off Highway 103, travel north through Lower, Middle and Upper Cornwall, Newburne then into Maplewood. From New Ross, travel through the forties to paved road on left to Parkdale then into Maplewood.

Activity Description: Wagon rides through award winning woodlot and open house at sugar shack with free treats. Maple products available for sale.

9 – Terra Beata Farms

Directions: Drive from Lunenburg towards Blue Rocks. After 2 km turn left onto Heckman’s Island. After 1 km, turn right onto Monk Point Road, Farm is the first driveway on the left after 0.5 km.

Activity Description: Free guided walking tours of the bog as well as the berry cleaning line and our ‘cranberry kitchen’ processing facility. Free cranberry appetizers for sampling.

10 – Cogmagun Poultry Processing Co. Ltd and Mill Acre Farm

Activity Description: We will be celebrating the Grand Opening of our new addition to our processing plant and introducing our new ready-to-eat product line “Courtia’s”. We will have samplings of our “Courtia’s” lines as well as products of the North Mountain Pie Company. We will have walking tours and hay rides.

11 – Grand Pre Wines

Activity Description: Come tour a modern dairy barn this is almost fully automated with robotic equipment. Meet your cows and calves and enjoy a hayride around out property. Hot and cold refreshments available.

16 – Windmill Holsteins

17 – Sugar Moon Farm

Activity Description: Learn about maple syrup; hear about the history of the farm. Take a guided tour of our maple syrup operation- a 30 minute tour for all ages. Try your hand at sugar on snow, and go for a beautiful hike in the sugar woods. Enjoy an all-day maple bunch in our log restaurant, featuring refreshing maple drinks, buttermilk pancakes, local sausages, fresh biscuits and more. Free guided tours hourly, 10am – 3pm. Limit of 20 per tour, sign up upon arrival. Sugar on snow hourly, 10am – 3pm, $2 per stick.

18 – Woolies of Upperbrook Farm & Harmoney Woolen Mill

Directions: From Bible Hill drive 8km on Hwy 311 turn right onto Upper Brookside Road and look for the first farm on the right (big red sign).

Activity Description: Meet the sheep watch the shearing, tour the farm, morden woolen mill and farm shop featuring Greta’s Jams and Jellies, blankets, sheepskins, comforters and wool supplies. Visit with other artisans of maple products, pottery, weaving, felting and more.

19 – Hampton Farm

Directions: Almost centred between Amherst, Parrsboro, and Springhill. ~200 metres south of the junction of Highway 2 and Route 302
Time: Demonstration of monthly shots and herd health at 11 a.m.
Activity Description: At 11 a.m., we will be demonstrating monthly herd health (giving deworming shots, toenail clipping, and body scoring). During the rest of the day, visitors can observe our free-range chickens, our alpacas in 4 pens, and our small blueberry field. We will offer a hands-on demo of skirting (fibre-cleaning), and be available to answer any questions about the animals and their care.

20 – Wysmykal Farm

Directions: From Amherst, take highway 336 past Lorneville. Turn right onto the Chapman Settlement Road. The farm is located 2km from the shore. Look for the Greenhouse
Time: Open from 10am-2pm. Farm tour in the morning, BBQ by donation at lunch time, Farm tour in the afternoon.
Activity Description: Come and see our farm! We will show you what we grow and how we grow it. Hopefully we will eat some tasty melons!

21 – Lismore Sheep Farm

Directions: Farm is on Louisville Road, just off Highway 6 West of River John. From Truro, take Highway 311 to Earltown, turn right on Highway 326, continue through Denmark, watch for our signs.
Time: 10am-3pm, wagon rides ongoing, BBQ 11-2.
Activity Description: Barn is open with sheep and lambs to see. Displays with the story about wool and sheep. Highland cows in the field. Free wagon rides, lamb sausage, BBQ, wool shop open. River John Farmer’s Market on site (weather permitting) with produce, baking and artisans.

22 – Seafoam Lavender Farm
Farm type: Lavender
Address: 3768 Highway 6, Seafoam

Directions: Halfway between Pictou and Tatamagouche (22km West of Pictou; 29 km East of Tatamagouche). Corner of Highway 6 and the Hedgeville Road.
Time: 10am-6pm. Education Lavender 101 presentations given every 30 minutes. Lavender gardens, Koi pond and gift shop.
Activity Description: Please join us for a fun-filled, educational experience for the whole family. Learn all about growing lavender and how we make 67 artisanal products on-site. “Lavender 191” Presentations given all day, every 30 minutes. Due to health department and insurance restrictions, pets are not permitted on the farm.

23 – Swinkels Bee Products

Directions: Take exit 31 at the Chrysler dealership. Take a left onto Somers Road drive 2km and we are the grey bungalow on the right hand side.
Activity Description: Tour of the honey house, extraction of honey general discussion of day to day operation and display of natural care products made with honey and beeswax.

24 – West River Holsteins

Directions: 8 km past hospital in Antigonish (from Main Street take hwy 337 to Harbour Centre) Farm is on the left hand side. Farm sign at the end of driveway.

Activity Description: Join us at our dairy facility for a tour, with static displays, and activities for the kids. Guided tours on the hour but visit throughout the scheduled hours for self-guided tours and displays.

25 – Mamie’s Alpacas

Directions to Farm: Located on Rte 19 next to Dalbrae Academy. Coming from Whycocomagh or Inverness, go through the village of Mabou and past Dalbrae, next driveway on left. From Port Hood, go past West Mabou Rd turn off and first driveway on right.
Hours: 12pm to 3pm
Activities: Tour our dairy facility and interact with animals. Static displays and guided tours throughout the day. View operation of the farms robotic milking system throughout the day.
