Meet the Schmidts…

Joanne and Ron Schmidt turned their dreams into reality in 1994 when they founded Galloping Cows Fine Foods. Years of hard work and dedication have transformed Galloping Cows from a small country market to the darling of fine foods retailers across the country. From their home kitchen nestled in the seaside town of Port Hood, in the Cape Breton Highlands, the Schmidts have perfected their unique and inspiring flavours. Ron and Joanne create and produce Nova Scotia food that is made with 100% Nova Scotia fruit. Pepper jellies can be found at any Atlantic Sobeys store in the deli dept. above the Brie cheese. As well their products are sold at gift stores, farm markets, and specialty food stores, and Galloping Cows.

Now the proprietors of Galloping Cows Fine Foods are headed to The Oscars, the world’s premiere celebration of film. They will set up a display in the stars “gifting suite” on Thursday the 24th. For the next two days, they will present Oscars stars with a gift box of Galloping Cows Pepper Jellies.
